James Carlisle Alexander(1848-1893)Barony, Lanark, Scotland.He married Janet Barrie(1848-1929)in 1866 at Calton, Glasgow.Looking for decendants of their four oldest children:Charles b. 1867,Elizabeth Carlisle b.1872, Mary Girvan b.1874 and James Carlisle b.abt,1877.
On the death of the father, the five youngest children were sent to Quarrier Village Orphanage at Bridge Of Weir. They were Annie b.1883, Agnes b.1885, Janet b. 1886, Beatrice b.1889 and Thomas George b.1891. Subsequently they were sent to Canada as Home Children.
I would like any information on the families who remained in Scotland.All the children were born in Glasgow.
