Steve,
Do you know of any of the daughters of the first two generations down from the immigrant George ALEWINE and who they married?
I "think" that one of the following persons of my research had an ALEWINE ancestry, but I cannot prove it.Here is my problem:
John Wilson CARROLL (b. ca. 1793,d. 1862 in Edmonson Co., KY) md. Frances FRANKLIN (b. ca. 1800, d. ca. 1887 in Edmonson Co., KY).
They named their first child ELIJAH ALEWINE CARROLL and he was b. in 1815 (don't know where). They gave middle names of MILES, FRANKLIN and WILSON to their sons.I can furnish the names of their other children if you need them to help.I've also done extensive research on these other three names, but have come up with nothing so far.
I'm wondering why they used the middle name of ALEWINE.Could their Elijah Alewine CARROLL have been named after the father or brother of either John or Frances?
I can't find anyone who has information on who the daughters and granddaughters of the immigrant George ALEWINE md. or the names of any of their children.
Can you help?
