Looking for any Alessi's I might be related to. My Great Great grandfather was Mikel Alessi from San Giovanni Gemini. He played the Coronet for the king (one of the Umberto's), his son was Francesco Alessi who married Maria Centenaro, also from San Giovanni. They had 4 children. Emanuel and Concetta who came to New Jersey . First Emanuel, and then when his father died, Concetta came with their mother (Maria). Their sibblings Francesco (Franco) and Crucifix stayed in Sicily. I Don't know about Crucifix, but Franco had at least 2 kids that i know of. One i don't know his name, he moved to Brazil, and was never heard from again (that i know of) and a son Nicola. Either Nicola's daughter or sister moved to France - my father is still in touch with them, and has visited them - and vice versa. Nicola (who is my father's first cousin) has a daughter named Giusy (my second cousin) and has a grandson named Peppe , who I communicate with on facebook. I know some Alessi's are in the adjacent town of Cammaratta, and Peppe is in Castronovo, though his last name is not Alessi. I know i have cousins Luanna and Salvatore in Cammarata. If this seems familiar to anyone, let me know.
