I just got off the phone with my great grandmother who was 1st generaion American. She is Rose Bellomo, daughter of Vincent and Mary Alessi who came over from Maria Nopolie Italy (a little town in Sicily) through Ellis Island in about 1919. Mary Alessi's maden name was Lumbardo (that spelling might not be right). I'm not sure if this is of any help but i surely hope so. If you know anything please email me. Thanks
