My family is not from Brazil, but originally from Sicilly. Messina I believe. Growing up I only knew my Grandmother,(Antonia) her husband (Guidseppie) died in the states before I was born, and my father's brothers and sisters and one cousin. Anyhow, they (my grandparents) came to this country at the turn of the century and settled in Boston. They had 6 live children, which out of the siblings, 3 had children. (My cousins and siblings.) Everyone but me still lives in Massachusetts, and some of my uncles and aunts have passed away. Most of them are now in their 80's. There are lots of us out there, and I keep searching. I don't know if this has helped you because I don't know where (if there were any) my grandparents siblings went, either NA or SA.
I have also started a detailed-oriented family tree for my immediate family. It is like pulling teeth to get any information from my aunts and uncles.
