Gabriella,
We may be cousins. Is your grandmother a cousin of Presidente Aleman? My grandpa, Alfred, has an older sister named Cecilia. If I remember correctly, her married surname is Barbosa. Their parents were Fernando and Carmen, maiden name Acuna. Although originally from Mexico/Arizona, So. Cal. has been home for the family since probably the 1930s.

There were many children in the family, but my grandpa has at least one other sister, Beatrice (Betty). Some of the brothers were Fernando, Albert, Henry and Raymond.

If this sounds like it's the same family, maybe we've been at the same reunions! After decades of the family being distant, the kids of my grandpa's generation began organizing reunions and there have been a handful over the last 10+ years. Cecilia was there, and a couple of her sons and their kids. If we are the same family, there are definately those who would like to hear from you. Let me know.

Robb Aleman
