My Aldrich family resided in Bradford Co
PA which is a bit east of Erie Co NY/PA.
An 1840 census shows my William Aldrich,
his father in law John Bassett, and a John
C. Aldrich, who, given the ages of his
household, was a brother to William, and
whose mother lived with him.

William shows up next in 1850 in IL, along
with his brother in law and mother in law,
Norman and Clarissa Bassett.
