I am related to Mary Catherine Aldridge Hickam b.in Kentucky 1807 d.1850 married Silas Hickam Sr... their son Silas Jr. born in Ill. 1832 d. 1905 married Nancy Catherine Aldridge b. 1838. Their son Thomas Hickam b. about 1855 in Ill. married Mary Ellen Reynolds b. 1864 d. 1944. They had two children William Silas Hickam 1880-1978 and Cora (Corrie) 1884-1976. William Silas is my grandad and Corrie my g-aunt. They were near the Alto Pass/Wolf Lake area. A picnic at Grand Tower involved the Hickam family in the mid 1880's. My grandad told of one of his grandmothers being Indian, believe it was one of the Aldridge grandmothers. Hope you can help. Have been trying to find out about the Aldridge line. I had found a 1880 Preston Precinct census, listing Thomas Hickam 25 boarding with a Thomas Aldridge ... both were listed as farmers.
