Thanks for responding. Sorry about the delay in my response. My computer crashed. Magnolia Mound Plantation is familiar to me, but I had never heard of the Aldridge name with it before. I'm searching for a tie to Rachel Aldridge who married Comstock and lived in St. Martin Parish. There was a tie somehow to a William Comstock of New Orleans, a navy man, who was related to a John L. Comstock in Donaldsonville (right outside of Assumption Parish). In reading an old newspaper account there was mention of a man leaving his employment at "Aldridge Plantation." This was an Assumption Parish newspaper. I would love to converse with you concerning this. Maybe I can find out more from the Louisiana end. Thanks.
