Maria D. Aldirch died in Wilmington, VT in 1895. She was born about 1818 but unknown where or who she married to become an Aldrich. Some of the census records say that she was widowed and moved with her son to Vermont from Rhode Island or Massachusets. Her son was Frank H. Aldrich, he was in the 11th Vermont Volenteers during the Civil War. I have tried Ancestry.com but have had no luck in finding out more, Maria would be my great great great grandmother. I am trying to research my family history because it seems to have been lost somewhere, no one was ever interestead in family history enough to ask, and now all the people who would know are dead. I have all of Frank H. Aldrich's Civil War stuff and it made me want to learn the history of my family.
