In the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses Charles R. Aldrich's wife is listed as Margaret M. Aldrich. In the 1900 census there is a Roland Lee in the Seattle area who had a 7 year old daughter named Margaret, and Roland's wife's name was also Margaret. Could Charles R. Aldrich have married your great grandmother's mother sometime between 1900 and 1910 and then adopted her daughter (your great grandmother)?
