Aldrich Family Mystery PLEASE HELP

We have a family mystery. The only information we have which I'll detail momentarily, comes from my 92-year-old grandmother.

My grandma's mother's name is believed to be Margaret Lee Aldrich born possibly in 1892 in Seattle, Washington. Nothing is known about Margaret's birth parents nor any other biological family members. Grandma said that her mother Margaret was adopted by C.R. Aldrich of Seattle sometime in childhood. She may have had a half-sister named Kitty. The middle name "Lee" could possibly be Margaret's biological surname as she did take the surname Aldrich after adoption. Margaret married a Carl Harold Johnston. She died in 1919 of a ruptured appendix when my grandma was just 2 years old.

C.R. Aldrich is suppose to have been an architect owning the company Aldrich & Hunt. He may be the same C.R. Aldrich wHO was the architect of the Central Building on 3rd Ave. in Seattle. So far, we've had no luck on obtaining biographical information on him.

I greatly appreciate any information which can be provided about C.R. Aldrich. We're hopeful that finding him will lead to finding out about Margaret and maybe her biological family and how it came about that C.R. Aldrich adopted her.

THANK YOU!!
