My g-g-g-g grandfather was John R. Aldrich. He married a woman by the name of Sally or Sarah. They had six children all born in N.H. Alfred, Johnathan II, Joseph, Amy, Charles and Caroline. Joseph was my g-g-g grandfather. John was a farmer in New Hamshire but sometime priort 1850 he and his family moved to Dickinson, N.Y. probably 1840's. My aunt has found a direct link to George Aldrich from Mendon, Mass. I hope this has been of help.
