Please see my follow up on Jonathan Aldrich of NY on the previous page. Jonathan "Macajah" Aldrich's son Edward is the same Edward who took his two youngest children from Albion/Concord, Jackson Co. MI to Henrietta twnship in a similar way that Jonathan brought his two youngest to Wolcott, Cayuga - later Rose, Wayne Co. - from where-ever they were living before that. I can't imagine that it was Vermont, and that Edward had two wives, but I suppose it could be possible. He (Edward) lived from 1813 to 1835 in Rose, when he and his wife "Polly" sold their land and moved with their children, including William (from whom my wife is descended) to Concord/Albion area of Jackson Co, MI. Edward's wife Polly is buried in the Albion cemetery with a host of other Aldrich's. What I strongly suspect, David, is that you're chasing two different Edward's. My suspicion is that our Edward's wife was an Elliot from Kingsbury, Washington Co. NY. The naming of the children, plus Jonathan's nickname or middle name leads me to believe that this family is tightly tied to the David and Mehitabel (Aldrich) Elliot family whose progenitors helped settle Kingsbury. If you are descended for sure from the Edward of Henrietta Twnshp I have lots more data about his descendents to share, so get in touch. Seerbeer@aol.com
