Lloyd Aldrich--City Engineer of Los Angeles--1939

I'm doing some research on the CA freeway system. Lloyd Aldrich was the city engineer in Los Angeles from the early 30s through the 50s, and was the architect of the city's first parkway plan in 1939.

I really want to know if he had any children because I would like to speak with them to find out if he left any records that might help with my research.

Please let me know if you can help--or if you have an idea of where I can find this information.
