HI.....Im in florida now ...but until last year lived in Saratoga County,New YorkI was going thru a small box of old stuff and found some newpapers clipping of dead Aldriches which sent me on my search to figure out who was who.I only know that my fathers name is John Carlton Aldrich III and gr fatherwas the 2nd.We think before that middle name was not Carlton but still John .Eugenia who would be my great grandmother I think is suppose to be the full blooded Mohawk indian We aer told her last name was Willsey(Wilsey) we have many variations to last name.We find her listed as a servent one time and on great granfathers burial info she is listed as his daughter when we thought was wife so we are so confussed.We are told was a huge full page stiry years back in one of Saratoga area news papers about Eugenia but we are not able to locate im sure that would give us the whole story.Seems part of my Aldrich family is buried at Hudson View Cemetary in Mechanicsville,N.Y.others are in that plot also but we dont know how they connect.I recently purchased a small piece of land in the town of day also know as Corinth its outside of Saratoga.While talking to local building inspector he told us how the town of day was full of Aldriches and how they lived in a valley there that everyone was removed from then flooded to make Sacandaga River and or Lake.Though the town is extremly small we rode around and noticed in this small moutain area Aldrich last name on many mail boxes.We also find some Aldriches some how from Rensealer(spelling wrong)and Still water.Some how some place this area is missing its link hehehe.We have what we think is the original burial plot for the now called Hudson View Cemetary.The deeed is very afaded but reads JohnAldrichof Mechanicville23rd april 1915 200 square feetfor 25 dollars.We have been there and looks like they have people buried ontop of one another and not 200 square feet.We have a Mrs.Eugenia Willsey Aldrich as benificiary in 1942 to an insurance policy living in stillwater ,new york.We have news paper clipping that Eugenia was born Long LAKE AUG9 1893 AND WAS MEMBER OF Memorial Baptist church and has two sisters and a brother.
