Seeking info about family of Elisha/Elijah ALDRED, born about 1750s, NC, and d abt 1850/51 in Randolph Co., NC. Have been told he had a daughter, Jane, b abt 1791, who m James CARTER, b 1785 in NC. Looking for copy of Elisha/Elijah's will, where he names the children of Jane & James Carter. (Have also been told Jane's father was John & Sarah Spencer ALLRED, but that lead has run into a dead end so far.) Son of Jane & James was my ggrandfather, William Shires (Sires) CARTER, b 1818 Randolph Co., NC. Any info will be helpful. Thanks, Bettie
