William Alderton married Margaret Edwards on May 3, 1786. Their children born in Hampshire County, Virginia (now W.Va.) born from 1786 to 1808 were:
Sarah
Thomas
David
Enos
Margaret
Jacob
William

Of these, Thomas was my gr. gr. gr. gr. grandfather. He married Ann VanOsdol (many spellings of this and I'm trying to find the correct VanOsdol spelling). Thomas and Ann's childen, born between 1813 and 1829 were:
William
Daniel
John C.
Abraham (my gr. gr. gr. grandfather)
Anna
Margaret

I have descendants of the above.

Other Alderton names I have are, among others are:

ALSO, I have heard Alderton and Allerton were used interchangeably. Any truth to this?

I have also heard that William Alderton, head of my line of ancestors that I know of so far, sailed to Virginia on the "Primrose", with Capt. Douglas, Master.
