Sarah Alderton was born in Lewis, Sussex county England on 5 July, 1843. She married a William Post and had 3 children (Charles, Minnie, and Harry). She married 2nd circa 1877 in the US, William Ellsworth and had 3 more children:
Ralph b circa 1879
William b 17 April 1884 in Brooklyn, NY
Harold b circa 1889

Sarah died in Brooklyn in the early 1920s
