I just purchased the book about Joseph Edwards, #2 in a series of Monographs about the Virginia Frontier during the French and Indian War published by the Fort Edwards Foundation.
It lists Joseph Edwards (the Fort Builder) and his children and grandchildren. The listing for Thomas Edwards(c 1725 -c1791) that married Mary Hiett shows that their daughter Margaret married William Alderton (3 May 1786).
