The Conde de Alderedo was a real person. Do a google search for the "Conde de Alderedo" and you will get many hits on this person. Following are some of them:

Significado del apellido "Silva" (tomado de misabueso.com): No se conoce su origen con exactitud. Según algunos el fundador del linaje fue el Conde Don Pelayo Silvio que vivió a mediados del siglo X. Otros afirman que desciende de un pretor de Lusitania en la época de Nerón llamado Silvio. Para algunos proviene de Alderedo, príncipe godo que fue conde palatino con el rey Ramiro I, cuyo descendiente D. Gutierre Alderete de Silva sería en el siglo X el primero en llevar este apellido. So, the name is much older than the Islamic invasion and appears to be a visigothic name.
