Javier,

Thank you for your wealth of information. I do want to ask you a few more questions.

First, when I went to Utah, I tapped in the Alderete name only. I did not give specifics, so I am not sure if the Villadolid relates to me, however you stated that New Mexico descendants are from Julian Alderete?
Do I have this straight?

Also, my sister was living Spain the last year and found some information about our name as well a street named after "the Alderetes'". Also, I know my grandfather Juan Marquez Alderete was born in Mesilla, New Mexico as well. His father was Lorenzo Alderete and his wife was Anatasia Alderete. All of my great and grand-parents are deceased, so I am prepared for it to be a slow process.

What would be your suggestion for the best route to take in finding our family tree? Do you know of other resources that would be helpful to me? (I don't want to be a bother to you.) So, far you have been the best resource yet-outside of my family. Once again, thank you. Jennifer
