I think several Allder or Alder families moved into Loudoun Co.The spelling of the name sometimes varied. The family that I know about is George Alder (b. 23 Dec 1755 St. John's Parish, Prince George, Maryland) and Lucy Ann (Wynn) Alder (b. 26 Sep 1762).George served as a private in the "Flying Camp" during the Revoluionary War, and he was captured by the British at Ft. Washington, NY on 16 Nov 1776.Anyway, George and Lucy Alder married on 17 Nov 1778 in Prince George Co., MD and had the following 10 children:
1) James (b. 14 Aug 1779; m. Hester Reed 13 Sep 1802 Loudoun Co., VA)
2) John Wynn (b. 20 Sep 1781)
3) James Latimore (b. 16 May 1783 Loudoun Co., VA; m. Catherine Silcott 8 Feb 1808 Loudoun Co., VA; d. 23 Jun 1874 Iola, Allen, Kansas)
4) Sarah Roby (b. 23 Jan 1785; d. 23 Aug 1802)
5) George Hawkins (b. 22 Jun 1789 VA; m. Jane Nichols,
23 Mar 1822, Loudoun Co., VA)
6) Elizabeth Latimore (b. 7 Feb 1793; m. William Bradfield 4 Apr 1816 Loudoun Co., VA; d. 4 Dec 1862 Snickersville. Loudoun, VA)
7) Mary Hawkins (b. 9 Nov 1795)
8) Nancy Hawkins (b. 28 Oct 1800)
9) Sarah Roby (b. 2 Mar 1804 - named after child #4 who died)
10)Marcus (b. Nov 1807)
It is entirely possible that the Isaac F. Alder you are looking for was a child of one of the "Alder boys" in this family (i.e., James, John Wynn, or George Hawkins).Do you know what the initial "F." stands for?
