Yes, you are correct. My father was Duke's younger brother. I only saw Duke once when I was abt. 7 or 8 years old.

The William Riley Alcorn with the Boone connection was one of the sons of Robert Alcorn who married Mary Elledge, she being the daughter of Francis Elledge & Charity Boone. Mary Elledge Alcorn died in 1824 & is buried in KY. This William Riley Alcorn died near Winterset, IA apparently in the early 1900's. I am not convinced that "our" William Alcorn's name was William Riley Alcorn. If his middle name was Riley he didn't seem to use it.
