Virgil, I just looked at the 1977 edition of "Rise of the American Nation" by L. P. Todd, volume 1 and 2. We have them here in the library at Texas A&M University. Volume 1 has a paragraph concerning the meeting to draft a declaration of independence from Mexico. The paragraph states that "delegates met in a cold, drafty gun shop...." It does not state that Elijah Alcorn was "in this group." I am wondering if you have another source which states that Elijah was "in the group." I can send you the full text of the paragraph from the book if you would like it.
