Chris;

I have Alcorn's in my tree. Following is an excerpt from a copy of a letter from Dr. A.J. Alcorn dated 11/14/1928.

"John Alcorn,the first who came to Ireland from Scotland died Feb. 18, 1710, age 100 years old. This John had two brothers, Robert and James. In (the date is left out)James the 5th of Scotland and 1st of England (King James), gave large tracts of lands to the brothers John, Robert and James. John settled in Coy Dorgal, Robert in Tyrone, and James in Derry. The inscription from which we learned of the death of John mentioned above is still in existance and is on an old tombstone now standing in a cemetery in Ireland."

Ican send you a copy of the whole text if you are interested. Just email me with your address.

Regards,

Joe
