Hamish,
Have you found any Allcorns in your research? I'm currently trying to research Charles Allcorn (Brighton workhouse orphan, 11 years old 1851 census). In my great grandfathers generation our family went from Allcorn to Alcorn, some branches stayed with the Alcorn, some reverted to Allcorn again! My line descends from Charles, Ben, Theo, Ken. All were central western NSW based. However, a story persisted of a brother of Ben who ended up in Qld. Please email if you believe a link exsists.

Phillip
