Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My grandfather was Robert Alcorn born 15.4.1885. His parents were Rebecca Hanlon born circa 1862 and died 12.10.1911 and John Alcorn born circa 1863 and died 22.1.1941. He married Janet Boyd (born 14.10.1887 at Calderbank). They had four sons - John (my father), William, Robert and Thomas. As far as I know they were all born in Scotland. He emigrated to Australia in the 1950's shortly after my father. I got some of this information from a Gordon Thackery but have been unable to contact him since. Perhaps we are related. Please contact me for more information.
Regards, Isabella.
P.S. My father had three sets of twins - a geneologiest nightmare.
