Hello Mazie. I finally went online to check my e-mail messages and found your response. I think there is certainly a family connection. Does your family have a connection with the Alcorn Reunion that was held in Little Rock, Arkansas this past July? I am part of that Alcorn family. My great-grandmother Janie (Alcorn) Puckett was the daughter of Emanuel and Jane Alcorn from Tennessee. Janie (Alcorn) Puckett had two brothers Norman Alcorn, who married Mary (Haines) Alcorn and William (Billy) Alcorn who married Caroline or Carolyn. Norman and Mary Alcorn had a son named Norman also in Newport, Arkansas who died in a house fire some time in the 1970's with his wife. His profession was education in Newport. Also, his brother was Professor Alcorn, who taught at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (UAPB). Is this your family? Clara
