My grandfather's father is Norman Alcorn. My grandfather's name is George Samuel Alcorn of Newport, AR. Unfortunantely, he passed before I was able to discuss the family history with him. He married Mazie Lee Harper and to this union 9 children were born: Cora, Jackie, Loretta, Mary, Betty, Sherry, Herschel, George Jr. (deceased), and Fredrick (deceased). My grandfather has several siblings, although I am not sure of all of there names and locations. However, I do know of Annie Sue, Betty Lou, and Herschel Norman (deceased). There are a few other sisters that I do not know. My family is based in Newport, Arkansas. I am trying to find or trace my family back to slave times also. If you have any new information, please let me know.
