I just obtained a copy of the book Alcorn Early History (also called the blue book) in which is mentioned the name change from Robertson to Alchorne. Is this the same book you mention? It also shows a picture of the crest with staghorn deer and heart.

ps in a letter posting you mention an extensive family tree. Would it be possible to have a look at your family tree?
