Dear John:
Sorry it has taken me so long to answer your Email re the Alcorns. I have been working on this for some time and have made several contacts on this forum that have helped. Spent much time travelling this summer so I can't put my hand on all of the information, but will give you what I can. You mentioned James and John Alcorn in NB. My relative Andrew Alcorn was born in Donnegal Ireland in 1800 and came to (or was in) NB in 1828 with his brother Hugh. He married Annie McKinley. Their children were: William, John, James, Andrew, and Elizabeth. I believe John is buried in Alma, New Brnswick. There are several cemeteries with Alcorns in the Moncton/Alma, NB area. My line came thru John to his son James, to his son George. I have received a lot more information from Barbara Morton who answered my question on this form. She has a lot of information also. If you have further questions, please let me know. Am excited to find more of my distant family as my father and his brothers are all deceased. Would like to hear from you.
Oreta
