Hi Maxine, I didn't know which branch you belonged to. Is Elijah a son of James & Catherine? [I had the same date & place of birth] In 1796 Elijah & Josiah together in Jackson Co. GA gave a POA to Robert Crowden to "get what is ours from Cumberland Co. PA" The James Alcorn who d. 1761 in Cumbeland Co. PA had a son James b. c.1722. Is that too early for the James of SC? I had him as b. 1730's Ire. whereas the James d. 1761 PA, bt. land in Lancaster Co. PA in 1733. It's possible that they fit,
