I am a descendant of Hugh Alcorn, who emigrated to New Brunswick,Canada in 1826. Violet Elizabeth Alcorn, daughter of Hugh Alcorn, married William Cairnes, son of James Cairnes, on November 13, 1868. They were living in the home of Bridgett Alcorn, a 55 year old widow, with her daughters, Catherine and Lucinda in the 1871 Canadian census and they had a year old daughter, Anna
Mariah, whom I knew as my Great-Aunt Mariah.
I have a photo of Violet with her five adult daughters, taken in Rhinelander, WI, where
William and Violet settled. If these names are in your list, please contact me at Violet had a son but I do not know his name. He died in his 20's.
