John Alcorn / Rebecca Flannery of IL
Posted by: John Halsey Flannery Date: March 06, 2000 at 21:59:02
  of 1166

I am looking for information on JOHN ALCORN & REBECCA FLANNERY (FLANARY) supposedly married December 19, 1810 in Randolph Co., IL (probably the old Kaskaskia District). I believe that JOHN PERRY ALCORN, b. July 17, 1815, may have been their son. I do not know this for a fact, however. I am particularly interested in who the parents of REBECCA FLANNERY were, since this person & this marriage is totally unknown to FLANNERY researchers. She must have been boen no later than 1795.

JOHN PERRY ALCORN married MARY HAWKINS on 10-14-1839 in Greene Co., IL. They are in the 1850 IL Census for Hancock Co., IL with 3 children: Minerva, age 10, Joseph C., age 8, & John J. (?), age 1.

MARY HAWKINS ALCORN died in 1865, & JOHN PERRY ALCORN then apparently married MRS NANCY ELLEN (nee McVEY?) WITT on 5-17-1866 in Montgomery Co., IL. In 1868, he apparently married MRS DORCUS JORDAN on 11-17-1868 in Montgomery Co., IL.

Thanks in advance,
