I have a John Alcorn, Sr. b1768-1775-Ireland. Wife's name unknown, b1780-1784-Ireland. Settled 1795-1800 in Guilford Co (N.C.orVa.) and then moved to Rockingham Co abt.1830. Four Sons: Robert G b abt 1808; John A 1810-1855: Templin R b abt. 1811: Alfred s 1814-1906. Probably 3 daughters: 1 could be Mary Ann m 1827 to Joshph Richardson?. I suspect that John Alcorn, Sr. could have immigrated along with his father also named John Alcorn b1755 or earlier, dead by 1820, pro. Guilford Co. From where andwhen did this family immigrate? Cannot find much on them in N.C. records. Does anyone have any background info. on the Alcorn name or Irish immigration records?

Also interested in Alcorns of MecKlenberg Co., N.C. Do they fit in the these? Margaret Alcorn b1786-Ireland m Eli Alenander 1808 in MecK. Co. Please contact me by the web or Mail Jon-Eric Thomas, 1251 Fairview Dr., Lexington, N>C> 27292 Ph-336-248-6742
