I am very interested in your Susan Alcorn who married Richard Searcy. The information I have is that Richard Searcy married twice. The first was to Dorcas Alcorn in 1792 and the second was to Susan Alcorn in 1801. Both marriages took place in Madison Co, KY and the signatures of Richard Searcy in the marriage records appear to be the same man to me, but I am not an expert. Based on the extensive Alcorn Genealogy I have seen, Dorcas Alcorn was the daughter of James (1740-1781), who was the son of the 1721 immigrant, James (Sr). The same Alcorn genealogy does not have any Susan Alcorns of the correct age to have married Richard. It lists your Robert Alcorn (1728-1798) with 8 children, none of which is Susan...this could be an omission. Robert was the son of the 1721 immigrant, William, who was brother of James (Sr). I would very much like to know more about Susan Alcorn, and hopefully any documentation. I will be more than happy to share what I have.
