My grandmother who was Josie Mae Alcorn/Allcorn said that she had Blackfeet? I never could get a straight answer out of her about what kind and how many. Since I have done thirty years of genealogy I have found three areas in that I have American Indian. Josie's husband Omer Preston Kimbriel/Kimbrel was also 1/4 American Indian and my father is also American Indian his mother was 1/2, her mother was an indian who was adoped and went by the name of Jennie Panky. My father later told me that he remembers meeting some of her cousins and they were big indians. Now how much of that I belive, I have no idea.

Since 2005 I have located my Alcorns in Texas and in Milam county and have gotten some where with Josie. He Alcorn ancester is listed as one of the 300, first settlers.

Look forward to hearing from you and would like to exchange information about your Alcorn's.
