There is scant detail in Burke's Landed Gentry of Ireland 1894 Vol. I p. 13. You might concentrate on the fact the Reverend Alexander Alcock, (died 1747), second son of John Alcock, of Downpatrick, County Down, the ancestor of the Alcock family in Ireland, married Jane Mason, daughter of Sir John Mason. The listing shows that Rev Alexander and Jane had 2 daughters and three sons. The daughters were Jane and Elizabeth. No details are given on Jane-she could have been born in England. Her sister Elizabeth married a Mr. Hickey. That is the only Jane Alcock in the correct time period.
