I have looked st Burke's Landed Gentry 1958 & 1976 for the heir lineage of Alcock of Wilton Castle, Wilton, County Wexford, Ireland and also Burke's 1894 for the branch of the younger son of the ancestor John Alcock of Downpatrick, County Down. No exact match is made, but you should investigate the younger sons branch of Rev Alexander Alcock. His grandson Thomas Alcock, of Killea House, co. Waterford m. Eliza, dau. of Thomas Hackett, Esq., of Fethard, County Tipperary, Eliza died 19 Dec 1852. Thomas and Eliza had four sons and six daughters-not listed,
That seems to be the only entry thst might be a lead to your Edward Alcock.
