It's nice to see an Alcock forum.
I'm looking for any information on
Jane ALCOCK, b. England who married William Agustus ATLEE in 1734, in Barbados. She died 18 Jan 1777 in Lancaster, PA.
According to the Atlee genealogy published in 1884, Jane was a maid to the Queen, who wanted her to marry royalty. Her father was a clergyman. She is reportedly a cousin of William Pitt, the Earl of Chatham.
I have found no information beyond this and am hoping someone out there can connect her to her family in England.
