Greetings Eileen from the convict settlement down under
I note your reference to Peter Alcock, son of William & Sarah of Middlewich. Peter was convicted for stealing cheese and arrived in Australia as a convict on the "Marquis Huntley" on 21/8/1831. I also note your interest in information about the descendants of his first marriage to Anne. I cannot help you with that but I wonder if you are aware that he had a second family in Australia.
Peter obtained a Ticket of Leave within 10 years of his arrival and in 1843 he married Elizabeth Carroll at Erina in NSW. Peter & Elizabeth had 4 children - Sarah, Samuel, Jane & Olive. Sarah married James Russell and I understand that their descendents still live in Queensland.
I can tell you a bit more about Peter and his descendants if you are interested but my information is very limited.
Hope this is of interest
Edward Alcock
