Hi Chas, I believe I may have some info for you on George Garrett Alcox(not Alcock) some used all three spellings and it gets very confusing.My grandmother Lois Gaylorad Alcott used that spelling! I have 1274 names in the Alcott genealogy at this point. I have George Garrett Alcox b.March 25,1807 and died June 27,1868 and he wed Hattie Nichols. His dad was Obed Alcox who married Anna Andrus July 13,1797 . If you want more I can go back further. Please send me your address and I can mail you the info it is to much to type on the net.Annas father was one of the original settlers of Wolcott,CtWhe was born inWatertown Sept 1.1777 died Sept 8,1864.
