I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has information on the Al(l)chin family in the Maidstone area of Kent from around 1830. My ancestor, Emily Al(l)chin, was born in Maidstone in 1855 and her father was William. His occupation was Shoemaker. Now I've moved to the US it's more difficult to access records so I'd be grateful for any information!
