My great-greatgrandmother was an Alcantara whose father was appointed counsel from Spain and was sent to New Orleans to work.She was born in New Orleans about 1852. She died in New Orleans on May 18,1929. Her husband was Alcee Joseph Hymel,born in Edgard, Louisiana. Any other information would help.
