Zada, just found your message. Sorry to take so long. You are right, I am the daughter of Ida Curry Cleare and you probably did correspond with her. She worked on genealogy for many long years. I had no interest at the time -- too bad. Mother died on 6-1-1997 and my father followed on 1-20-1998. I do have all of her notes and am trying to get it all into my database on the computer so I can help others. Mother's work was amazing considering it was done with just a yellow pad and a pencil. I do not know how she kept up with it all. I have about 4 boxes of notes so you can see it will take me awhile

I no longer live on Merritt Island. We moved to Arkansas in 1975 and to Northport, AL in 1978.

Just got my copy of the new Wyannie Malone genealogy book yesterday. Are you a descendant of Wyannie? It covers lots of Bahama families but just the ones who married into the Malone family. I haven't had a chance to really read it, only to find my family. Both my mother and father, Kermit Samuel Cleare, are descendants which makes them related (not unusual in Bahamas and Key West).

Do you have a copy of the new reprint of Kinfolks? I have all three volumes of the original but it is nice to have clean pages to work with. I am trying to get as much of it into my computer also. It is a hugh job.

Would love to hear from you further.
