On Friday I visited the library in Bartow.
I was informed they have been trying to form a committee for a Polk County Heritage Book.
They told me they have had 2 meetings and not one person showed up for the meetings. They will have one more meeting and if they get no response they will not do the book. There are enough of us to get the book off the ground and published. I say lets go for it. Here is what I am asking you to do. Please contact everyone you know family & friends who have root in Polk County. It will be a lot of work but it will be worth while in preserving our Polk Families. Please jump on the wagon and lets help.
