You have made my day!! And I think I may be able to help you. I am a direct descendant of Luke Cherry Albritton. Let me go backwards, though, starting with my grandfather.

Lawrence Eugene Albritton I m. Martha June Fields (m. in Reno, NV 1941)

Lawrence Eugene was the son of Beulah Harper and Waller Earl Albritton (b. 1892 in Graves Co., KY)

Waller Earl was the son of Hollie Albritton (b. Graves County,KY) and Rose Waller

Hollie was the son of Luke Cherry Albritton and Nancy Kidd.

They information I have from the censuses out of the Paducah Public Library and from talking to my relatives says that Luke Cherry's father or grandfather, also named Luke, came to Graves County from North Carolina in 1832. This first Luke was married to a LUCY Atkinson. And ideas or is the name just wrong?
