Thank you Mary for replying to my message. Since I posted that message in July, I have since traced my line of Albrights back to the original Albrecht ancestor to this country. My line goes as follows:

I. Jacob Albrecht born abt. 1695 immigrated from Germany, settled in Pennsylvania in 1732, died unknown date, probably buried in Pennsyvlania.

II. Michael Albrecht, Sr. born about 1719 in Germany. Married Maria Elizabeth Everett about 1745 in Pennsylvania. They moved to Rowan County, North Carolina. They had 11 known children. Michael died about 1788 and she died about 1775.

III. John Albright born about 1761 in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. He was raised in Rowan County, North Carolina. He married a woman named Mary about 1784. They had 8 known children. He died April 18, 1819 and is buried at the Mt. Zion Reformed Church, China Grove, North Carolina. And she died 1825.

IV. Michael Albright born about 1798 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He married a woman named Mary about 1819. They had 11 known children. Michael left Rowan County, North Carolina with his brother John in 1820. They lived awhile in De Kalb County, Georgia, as they were there in 1830. John bought 2800 acres of land in Talladega Co., Alabama from the Creek Indians. Both John and Michael are listed in the 1840 census in Talladega County, AL. John is still listed there in the 1850 census, but Michael moved to the adjoining Coosa County, AL where he was listed in both the 1850 and 1860 censuses. Michael died sometime after 1880 in Coosa County, Alabama and his wife died sometime before 1880 in the same.

V. William Cathan Albright was born December 25, 1830 in Dekalb County, Georgia. He married Cordelia Agnes McMillan (born January 3, 1843 in Talladega County, Alabama) on July 1, 1861 in Coosa County, Alabama. William fought in the Civil War with Company F of the 30th Alabama Regiment of Confederate State Infantry. He was taken prisoner at or near Port Gibson but afterwards was "exchanged paroled" and then he continued his service. He was wounded in the wrist at the Battle of Resaca. The 30th Alabama Regiment was consolidated with the 20th Alabama Regiment toward the end of the War. He survived the war and surrendered at Salisbury, North Carolina.
William and his family moved to northern Louisiana with his wife's parents--Robeson McMillan and Mary Munroe McMillan. He lived in Jackson, Lincoln, and Bienville Parishes.

William and Cordelia had the following children:
1. Webster Monroe Albright b. April 10, 1866
2. Jesse A. Albright (female) b. 1868
3. Robeson Michael Albright b. 1871
4. Mary A. Albright b. 1872
5. Susan Trudie Albright b. August 16, 1873
6. Cordelia Albright b. 1875
7. James Albright b. 1878
8. John V. Albright b. 1880
9. Artemas Hugh Albright b. between 1881-1884

Cordelia died August 13, 1884 in Lincoln Parish, LA. And William Cathan Albright died March 14, 1906 and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lincoln Parish.

VI. Webster Monroe Albright born April 10, 1866 in Coosa County, Alabama. Married Delaney A. Causey on July 22, 1888 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. They had 11 children.
1. John William Albright b. August 22, 1889
2. Talmadge Dewitt Albright b. June 18, 1891
3. Ollie Albright b. May 1893
4. Jessie Adella Albright b. May 23, 1897
5. Bessie Elizabeth Albright b. Dec. 19, 1899
6. Cora Bell Albright b. April 1900
7. Calvin Newton Albright b. June 15, 1902
8. Jim D. Albright b. bet. 1904-1905
9. Sam Albright b. 1907
10. Robert Lee Albright b. August 1, 1910
11. Raymond Allen Fletcher Albright b. February 10, 1912

Webster and his family lived in Franklin County, Texas. He made his living as a cotton tenant farmer. Webster died February 5, 1947 and Delaney died December 26, 1914. They both are buried at Friendship Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Texas.

VII. John Albright born August 22, 1889 in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. He married Clara Belle Powell on December 13, 1910 in Franklin County, Texas. They had 8 children. John worked as a cotton farmer around north Texas. He died August 20, 1974 and Clara died May 21, 1961.

This the long and short of it. If your line of Texas Albrights runs into this line--I would like to know.

Thank you so much
P Henning
