Hi Amanda, In the course of going thru genealogies of Albrecht/Albright I have come across several cases of cousin/ 2nd cousin marraiges. Especially in extremely rural farming communities, there was not always ample mate selection possibilities.
I am involved in a Albrecht/Albright ydna project. Ydna is passed along the male line from fathers to sons almost unchanged for generations. If your father or brother would be interested in participating, all it takes is some cheek swabs. So far, none of the Albrights tested have been closely related, but we continue to look for new matches. Contact me if you'd like to know more. Eric Albright
